1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Aethon Labs, publishing Gita Time under the developer name Divine Applications, collects, uses, shares, protects, and deletes information when parents and families use the Gita Time mobile app and website at www.gitatime.com. Gita Time is a parent-controlled family routine app that creates a calm devotional pause before selected screen time.

2. What Gita Time Does

A parent sets up a routine, selects apps or categories to gate where supported, chooses a schedule, and sets a short Gita-based ritual. During an active routine, Gita Time may interrupt access to the selected app or category until the child completes the ritual.

Gita Time is not spyware. We do not sell personal data, show ads, collect browsing history, record screen contents, read messages, access contacts, record microphone audio, use the camera, collect precise location for advertising, or use child data for behavioral advertising.

3. Information We Collect

We collect only information needed to provide the app experience, secure parent accounts, operate app-blocking routines, process subscriptions, and improve reliability.

Parent account information

We may collect a parent phone number, verification status, parent name, parent email address, and account/session details when needed for sign-in, account security, support, and setup changes.

Child profile information

We may collect a child name or nickname, age or age range, selected avatar, and routine preferences so the parent can personalize the experience and review progress.

Routine and app-blocking information

We may collect parent-selected blocked app names or package identifiers, routine schedules, selected days, ritual duration, learning theme, unlock reward, permission status, unlock tokens, and ritual completion records.

Ritual and progress information

We may collect the shloka or reflection shown, ritual start and completion timestamps, completion status, streaks, progress data, and optional reflection responses if a parent enables or the app includes that step.

Payment and subscription information

Purchases are processed by the applicable app store, such as Google Play or Apple App Store. We may receive subscription status, product ID, trial status, renewal period, order or transaction status, and purchase-token or transaction identifiers needed to verify access. We do not collect full card numbers.

Technical and diagnostic information

We may collect app version, device/platform information, permission flow events, onboarding events, ritual completion events, unlock events, crash logs, and error details to keep the app reliable and provide support.

4. Permissions We Use

Usage Access on Android

Used to detect when a parent-selected app is opened during a parent-configured routine window.

Display over apps on Android

Used to bring the child back to Gita Time when a selected blocked app is opened during an active routine window.

Notifications and foreground service on Android

Used for routine status, app-blocking operation, reminders, and keeping the parent-approved monitor active when required.

Screen Time / Family Controls on iOS

Used, when available and authorized, to let a parent select apps or categories and apply Apple-managed restrictions. Apple controls the system permission flow.

Billing APIs

Used to start, verify, restore, and manage subscriptions or trials through the applicable app store.

5. How We Use Information

  • To create, secure, and support parent accounts.
  • To personalize the child profile, ritual flow, routine, and progress view.
  • To detect and manage parent-selected app access during routine windows.

  • To provide customer support, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.
  • To comply with app store policies, legal obligations, and safety requirements.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal data. We may share limited information with service providers and platform providers only as needed to operate, secure, distribute, bill, and support the app:

  • Supabase for database, authentication/session support, Edge Functions, and entitlement storage.
  • MSG91 for phone number or OTP verification, if enabled.
  • Google Play Billing for Android subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and purchase verification.
  • Apple App Store / StoreKit for iOS subscriptions, trials, renewals, cancellations, and purchase verification, if offered on iOS.
  • Google Play Console, Apple Developer services, Android, and iOS platform services for app distribution, billing, permissions, and policy compliance.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, to prevent fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets with appropriate notice where required.

7. Children And Families

Gita Time is designed for parent-controlled family routines. Parents control setup, schedule, app selection, permissions, and payment. We do not knowingly collect more child information than needed to provide the routine and progress experience.

We do not show ads in the app and do not use child data for behavioral advertising. Parents may contact us to review, update, or request deletion of child profile data.

If the app is used by or for a child under the age where parental consent is required, the parent or guardian is responsible for providing consent, managing the account, and supervising use. Children should not create parent accounts or make subscription purchases.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS for network communication, access controls, provider security features, and limiting data collection to what is needed for the app. No transmission or storage method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

9. Retention And Deletion

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the app, maintain security, support subscriptions, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud. Parent and child profile data, routine settings, and progress data are generally retained while the account is active unless deletion is requested earlier.

Parents may request account and data deletion by emailing labaethon@gmail.com. Please include the parent phone number or account identifier used with Gita Time. We may retain limited records where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes.

Subscription cancellation is separate from app data deletion. Parents must cancel active subscriptions through the applicable app store account settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes or legal requirements evolve. If changes are material, we will update the date above and provide notice as appropriate.
